12/17 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

What a difference a few hours makes! We started off this morning with some snow, ice, and rain and now we're left with some slushy puddles and snow covered surfaces for some. It will be quiet by comparison tonight with rising temps, bottoming out at 40 degrees early in the night.

One hazard to watch out for overnight into early Sunday is the development of dense fog, all due to warmer air passing over cold/snowy/slushy ground...so if you're out & about overnight, be mindful of reduced visibility.

Tomorrow will be be much milder through the first half of the day...in fact, some spots in the area could top 60 degrees! We'll also have a line of showers moving through ahead of a powerful cold front...and there could even be a few rumbles of thunder!

Temps will crash tomorrow evening & we'll be back in the ice box Monday, lucky to get above freezing.

Have a good night everybody!
