12/12 CBS2 Monday Morning Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good morning folks! Make sure you're dressed to stay warm & dry this morning...Some heavy but chilly rain will be falling for most, with some sleet/snow continuing far north & west of NYC. Expect some bouts of torrential rain especially across Long Island...but things look like they dry out before lunchtime. It'll be a relatively mild day with temps topping out around 50.

Tomorrow will be a brighter but cooler day with temps only topping out in the lower 40s. Wednesday will feature a few more clouds but looks to stay dry as a storm will stay offshore. Temps again will be in the low 40s.

A bitter blast of Arctic air will invade the region Thursday & Friday. Just how cold will it be? High temps will be stuck in the 20s, and low temps Friday morning will be in the single digits & teens for all...so make sure you know where the heavy coats are!

Have a great day and be safe on the roads this morning!
