1/19: CBS2 Afternoon Weather Headlines
By Matt DeLucia, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Good Afternoon,
The sun has returned and we're headed into the upper 30s and lower 40s today under partly sunny skies. It will be breezy on this MLK Day however, with winds 15-20 mph, so it'll feel more like the 20s at times. Gusts up to 30 mph are possible this afternoon. With the northwest winds, some passing flurries are out there.
Partly cloudy skies tonight with a low of 28 for the city. The roads will get a chance to dry out today, and ice should not be a widespread issue anymore.
It will be right around average in NYC for your Tuesday, with highs in the upper 30s under partly sunny skies.
Wednesday is the day we're keeping an eye on as a weak clipper system looks to pass just to our south. Some light snow appears likely, with the latest suggesting an arrival during the late afternoon hours. It could be a messy evening commute, depending on the exact timing. At this point, a coating to a couple of inches is possible. We're still 2 days away, so this will become more fine tuned tomorrow.
It clears out for Thursday, becoming mostly sunny with highs in the mid 30s.
Be sure to check back soon for the latest. Have a good one!
