10/27 CBS2 Tuesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Justin Lewis
CBS 2 Meteorologist

We're still in good shape through this afternoon, though we will see an increase in cloud cover from southwest to northeast as our next system approaches. Highs will top out right around where they did yesterday in the upper 50s.

The clouds take over tonight, but for the most part it stays dry... maybe a little light rain far S&W as we approach dawn. Expect temps to fall into the low 50s by sunrise.

Light rain will overspread the area tomorrow morning into the first half of the afternoon; we will transition to moderate, or at least heavier rain as we get further into the afternoon. But it's really late in the afternoon and into the evening where we'll see heavier pockets of rain push through our area and bring us the chance of seeing some flooding; expect gusty winds, as well, especially along the coast.

The showers/rain push out around dawn on Thursday; and the cooler air will take its time to push in, so temps will warm into the low 70s before the day is out. Enjoy!

And as of now, Friday is looking bright, but a bit cooler -- as in we may not get out of the 50s.

Check back for more on tomorrow's rain event!
