10/19 CBS2 Monday Afternoon Headlines

By Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

We got off to a pretty cold start, but temperatures will warm into the low 50s this afternoon. And have those sunglasses on standby because it's going to be bright until the end, folks.

A strengthening southwest wind will keep our temps up a bit tonight... 30s for our NW suburbs and 40s in the city and Long Island.

We'll tap into a warmer air mass tomorrow and see our temps soar... upper 60s! And we'll see a little cloud cover from out ahead of a cold front, but don't expect any wet weather -- maybe a stray shower far NW, at best.

With our relatively warm air mass still in place, temps will stay on the mild side on Wednesday... low 70s! There could once again be a stray shower, but as of now, it looks like the threat would be more N&W of the city.

Thursday will be another warm one with highs, once again, breaking into the low 70s.

Check back to see what's in store for the rest of the week!
