It's been a particularly hard year for salespeople, although sales coach David Penglase says times like this are good for weeding out the good from the bad. The good sales people will have still managed to bring in the business, rather than relying on orders to walk in through the door.
So, how do you spot a good salesperson? Often the sales manager is not the best person when it comes to identifying sales talent. Grant Hyman from salescentral.com.au provides some advice on what to look out for when you are interviewing for a new member of the sales team.
