Gusts near 40 mph in the Twin Cities knocked many leaves down, WCCO meteorologist Mike Augustyniak says, and northern Minnesota is at or past peak. He says it’s still worth a drive, such as to Lake Mille Lacs or Rice Lake, and that peak color is likely this weekend.
