Twin Cities Sets Record High Temperature For Nov. 5

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The calendar says it's Nov. 5, but Saturday felt more like late August or early September.

After a cool start in the low 50s, sunshine and light winds took over, making for a gorgeous day. The record-high temperature for the day coming in was 71 degrees, and that was broken as we hit 72 degrees in the Twin Cities by about 3 p.m.

The average high temperature for early November is 48 degrees. That makes Saturday's high nearly 30 degrees above normal.

And the mild weather isn't going anywhere for a while. The forecasted high for Sunday is 72 degrees. It cools to about 61 degrees on Monday, but temperatures stay above average for much of next week.

So get out and enjoy it while you can, because inevitably, the winter and cold will come.
