MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- On Thursday, the stock market plunged as COVID-19 cases are on the rise in a number of states and there's increased uncertainty about the country's economy future. Meanwhile, another 1.5 million Americans filed for jobless benefits last week, even as businesses begin to reopen across the country.

• 1:45 p.m.: The University of Minnesota Board of Regents voted a unanimous "yes" to the framework for opening campuses this fall.
