Anoka Community Hosts 1st Youth LGBTQ Pride Event
ANOKA (WCCO) -- The Anoka community came together to let students know they are not alone, holding its first ever LGBTQ youth pride event.
At the event, there was free food and games mostly geared toward middle and high school students.
Recently, the Anoka Hennepin School district has been in the center of a federal lawsuit.
Some students claim the district is failing to protect gay and lesbian students from harassment and bullying.
