Lawyers for the families of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School filed an emergency motion in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Houston to liquidate Alex Jones' media company.
Gunman Adam Lanza opened fire at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut – killing 20 children, all age 6 or 7, and six educators.
Twenty children and six adults were killed when a gunman entered the school in Newtown, Connecticut.
The Connecticut jury found Jones liable for a total of $965 million, with amounts reaching as high as $120 million for a single person.
The far-right broadcaster and conspiracy theorist had called the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting "a hoax."
The conspiracy theorist and far-right broadcaster had earlier been found liable for defamation in a rare default judgment.

The conspiracy theorist said that he now understands it was irresponsible of him to declare the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting a hoax.
"I wanted to tell you to your face. ... Jesse was real. I am a real mom," Scarlett Lewis told Alex Jones. "...I know you know that, and that's the problem."
