The CTA, Metra, and Pace want to thank bus drivers and train operators for being heroes to the city during the pandemic.

Barriers will be installed on PACE busses to protect driver from COVID-19.
Pace Bus said as of Monday, it had seen a 53% drop in bus ridership and a 70% drop in ridership for paratransit services for people with disabilities, amid the coronavirus pandemic.
While the advice is to stay at home during the coronavirus pandemic, not everyone has that option.
"We have to keep the public transit system going," the mayor said. "People need to be able to get to work. Lots of folks depend on public transportation to get to and from."
