GameStop has offered to buy eBay for $55.5 billion, a move that would give the video game retailer control over a decades-old online marketplace where people can buy and sell collectibles, apparel, and other goods.
EBay said on Monday that it will "carefully review" GameStop's unsolicited $ 125-per-share takeover offer.
With the stores becoming a common target for thieves, some of the stores in the Chicago area are taking new steps to fight back.
