A popular CTA bus route on the North Side has been extended one mile north, connecting it to a newly renovated Metra station.
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 3, it will begin running north to the Ravenswood Metra station on the Union Pacific North Line.
The route will now end at the Ravenswood Metra station.
Witnesses said they saw at least one person running away from the scene.
The shooting happened Tuesday night at 51st Street and Ashland Avenue. Charlie De Mar reports.
At 8:15 p.m., the truck was headed north on Ashland Avenue at Roosevelt Road when the woman crossed in front of it, police said.
The driver who hit the building ran off and was long gone by the time police arrived. There were no injuries reported, police said.
This crash-and-grab burglary is similar to many other recent crimes that are part of a trend in Chicago.
