The three injured officers were reported in serious-to-critical condition after the crash in the Morgan Park neighborhood. Jermont Terry reports.
Tyshawn Johnson was one of two young men found with gunshot wounds in the 5400 block of North Ashland Avenue.

The officers inhaled fumes in the incident in West Englewood, and were treated at the scene.
Police say the 22-year-old victim got into a fight with another passenger on the No. 9 Ashland bus near Cermak Road.
The CTA employee said he also cannot go to work to do his dream job of fixing buses while he is injured. Sabrina Franza reports.
A popular CTA bus route on the North Side has been extended one mile north, connecting it to a newly renovated Metra station.
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 3, it will begin running north to the Ravenswood Metra station on the Union Pacific North Line.
The route will now end at the Ravenswood Metra station.
Witnesses said they saw at least one person running away from the scene.
The shooting happened Tuesday night at 51st Street and Ashland Avenue. Charlie De Mar reports.
At 8:15 p.m., the truck was headed north on Ashland Avenue at Roosevelt Road when the woman crossed in front of it, police said.
The driver who hit the building ran off and was long gone by the time police arrived. There were no injuries reported, police said.
This crash-and-grab burglary is similar to many other recent crimes that are part of a trend in Chicago.

Officers were called to the EZPAWN pawn shop, in the 4800 block of South Ashland Avenue, for a domestic disturbance.
A man was critically wounded in the shooting near Ashland and Foster avenues.
The shooting happened at Ashland Avenue and Roosevelt Road on the Near West Side.
The shooter remained on the loose late Monday.
