NH Marine killed in Afghanistan
The Department of Defense says a Marine from Goffstown, N.H., has been killed in Afghanistan.
Twenty-two-year-old Cpl. Philip Gerald Eichner Charte died on Tuesday. The Defense Department said he died while supporting combat operations in the Helmand Providence in Afghanistan.
Charte was part of a Marine battalion based out of Camp Lejeune, N.C. The Marine Corps said he was not married.
Charte graduated from Goffstown High School in 2007.
