An EF-4 tornado tore through Garland, and an EF-3 tornado damaged and destroyed homes in Rowlett, leaving eight people dead.

The scenes of devastation in the tight-knit community are mind-boggling.

Governor Greg Abbott, state and local officials and non-profits are responding to the storms that left at least seven dead in North Texas.
Jeff Collinsworth said he can still hear Saturday's tornado in Valley View and his neighbor's piercing cries for help.
As of Monday, NWS Survey teams say four tornadoes hit North Texas Saturday night.
"We're all brothers, no matter where we come from, what we do, or what our background is, and we take care of each other."
