Rangers Hire New TV Play-By-Play Announcer
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - There will be a new voice on Texas Rangers TV broadcasts on TXA 21 in 2011.
The Texas Rangers announced Wednesday that John Rhadigan will assume the play-by-play duties on television broadcasts. Rhadigan makes the move to the broadcast booth from Fox Sports Southwest.
Rhadigan will join Tom Grieve for the TV broadcasts. Grieve is a former player for the Rangers and longtime broadcast analyst for the team.
In a news release Texas Rangers team president Nolan Ryan said, "He [Rhadigan] has demonstrated his creativity and personality through the many features he has done with our players. I look forward to watching John and Tom on the telecasts this season".
Rhadigan replaces Josh Lewin after the Rangers decided to part ways with the announcer after the regular season last year. Lewin currently hosts a weekday radio show on 105.3 The Fan from 11 A.M. until 2 P.M.
You can listen and watch John and Tom call the games on Friday nights during the 2011 season on TXA 21.
