DALLAS (1080 KRLD/CBSDFW.COM) - Another police brutality march is set to take place in downtown Dallas tonight, led by the Dallas-based Next Generation Action Network. The group says they made the decision to have the march after more outcries against black men being shot by police erupted across the country.

Representatives from the Next Generation Action Network are holding a late morning press conference at Dallas Police Headquarters where they're expected to call for more transparency from the department.

The group is also claiming that police in Dallas killed an unnamed North Texan on August 28th and that no information was released to the public.

A press release from NGAN said, in part -

"As we fight local battles and push for immediate solutions that empower the community without disrupting legitimate police work we acknowledge the anguish of the families across the nation who mourn their loved ones lost by the hands of officers. For this reason we say the names of Terence Crutcher, Tyre King, Terrence Sterling, Kieth Lamont Scott and others lost in the month of September alone."

NGAN is the same group that led an anti-police march in July, on the night that five Dallas police officers were killed.

In a statement released Wednesday night, members of the Black Police Association of Greater Dallas said there's still a lot to be done if the gap is going to be bridged and that black police officers often feel caught between a rock and a hard place when they're discouraged from speaking out against fellow officers, if they value their jobs, but encouraged to speak up if they value their community.
