DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The Dallas Police Department SWAT team was involved a suspected standoff in the Lakewood area. But after more than three hours police confirmed that they approached vehicle, but found no one inside. No arrests were made.
Police used a loud speaker to talk to what they believed was a male suspect in a car. A CBS 11 News crew at the scene heard police repeatedly saying, "Get out of the vehicle. Get out of the vehicle. Get out of the vehicle."
An officer talking on the loud speaker said, "Make it easy on yourself. Exit the vehicle."
Witnesses had told CBS 11 the alleged suspect stole the car and possibly had a hostage.

CBS 11 was told the situation started with a suspected vehicle burglary involving multiple suspects, and one of those suspects was believed to be barricaded and possibly armed. The situation ended without incident.
