Dallas Police Investigate Capital Murder At Hotel

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public's assistance for information regarding a capital murder investigation.

Dallas police responded to a shooting Saturday night at the Extended Stay America Hotel on Coit Road.

According to police, the victim, 27-year-old Paris Marquell St. John, was shot at the hotel and was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his wounds.

Marquell's vehicle was taken after the shooting. The vehicle is described as a 2007 burgundy Chrysler 300 with the license plate CF2G526.

Homicide detectives are looking to speak with 24-year-old Demone Laderrick Scaife (pictured below), who may have been with the victim at the time of the shooting.
