From massive sinkholes to tornadoes and floods, North Texas faced another day of disastrous storms. In Denton County, Lake Lewisville was closed as water rose well past the banks; White Rock Lake Spillway looked more like Whitewater Rapids.
People in Denton had some scary moments as the storm blew through several neighborhoods, ripping off rooftops and fences and sending trees crashing into homes.
Local authorities were blocked by flood waters Sunday when responding to an emergency call about individuals trapped in a Krum residence. Massive storms and flooding prevented local authorities from sending fire trucks down Main Street to make the rescue. The flood waters originated from a nearby creek.
