Chicago Police officer busted at bar with crack cocaine in squad car, records say
Police said the 38-year-old officer was arrested coming out of a Norwood Park neighborhood bar early Friday morning.

A Hinsdale native, De Mar enjoys spending time with her large Chicago-area family. Her hobbies include singing and playing music, competing in triathlons and sampling the best sushi spots in the area.

It is unclear whether either of the two people charged in each shooting actually fired a weapon.
"His mom moved out and he stayed here, because he didn't want to go to Chicago, because he was afraid of getting shot," the boy's grandmother said.

The loss of Officer Preston hits home for many. She was only 24 years old and served the city as a police officer for three years.
Preston, 24, was shot around 1:42 a.m. on Saturday in the 8100 block of South Blackstone Avenue in the Avalon Park neighborhood.
