Google's "Project Nightingale" sparks concerns

The apparent whistleblower who revealed Google is collecting medical records from about 50 million Americans said "Project Nightingale" raised red flags, including a security risk of "placing medical data in the digital cloud." Google said it's using the information to improve health care and reduce medical costs, under strict privacy and security standards. Dow Jones falls more than 500 points

Stock market turmoil continued Thursday with the Dow Jones closing in the red. The drop comes as investors weigh progress in trade negotiations with Japan and navigate general uncertainty over the Trump administration's tariff plan. Notably, UnitedHealth shares fell after the company announced a cut to its annual profit forecast, citing expectations of high medical costs for the rest of the year.
