More layoffs reportedly planned at Twitter

According to Bloomberg, Twitter could lay off more workers as early as Monday. Meanwhile, Elon Musk has restored the Twitter accounts of Kanye West, the artist now known as Ye, and former President Donald Trump, but Musk has said he won't allow Alex Jones back on the platform. CBS News correspondent Jonathan Vigliotti discussed the decision to bring back the formerly banned accounts and how layoffs at the social media company are impacting profitability.

Special counsel to oversee Trump probes

The Justice Department has appointed special counsel, Jack Smith, to oversee parts of the January 6 investigation and Mar-a-Lago classified documents probe. The announcement comes just days after former President Donald Trump announced plans to run again in 2024. CBS News chief national security and justice correspondent Jeff Pegues and congressional correspondent Scott MacFarlane joined CBS News' Catherine Herridge to discuss that plus Republicans' plans to launch investigations of their own.
