Breaking down the Trump immunity ruling

A federal appeals court has denied former President Donald Trump's claim that he's immune from prosecution in the federal 2020 election interference case. Trump can appeal that decision to the Supreme Court. CBS News campaign reporter Katrina Kaufman and CBS News congressional correspondent Scott MacFarlane have more on the ruling. Tom Dupree, former principal deputy assistant attorney general for the Justice Department, also joined CBS News to discuss some of the legal wrangling Trump could attempt moving forward.

Senate immigration deal to be unveiled soon

A national security bill backed by some Republicans and Democrats in the Senate that includes immigration reform and funding for Ukraine and Israel could be unveiled as soon as Friday with senators vowing to have the text out by Sunday at the latest. But, there is growing Republican opposition to the yet-to-be-seen legislation, particularly in the House of Representatives. CBS News congressional correspondent Scott MacFarlane has more.

Willis to admit relationship in court filing

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis's lawyers are preparing to acknowledge in a court filing that she had a romantic relationship with attorney Nathan Wade, CBS News has learned. Willis appointed Wade to lead the Georgia prosecution of former President Donald Trump. Willis will also vigorously push back against allegations of conflicts, according to CBS News investigative producer Daniel Klaidman, who has been reporting on the allegations.
