Analyzing U.S. vulnerability to Russian disinformation

The National Intelligence Council released a recently unclassified report earlier this month assessing foreign threats to the 2020 presidential election. It ultimately found that Russia played the biggest role in successfully influencing our democracy. Many might blame former President Trump, but there are a number of other reasons why Americans are so vulnerable. Anne Applebaum, staff writer at The Atlantic, joins CBSN's Lana Zak to discuss.


Black women leaders write open letter to Trump

Campaigning in 2016, Donald Trump called on Black voters across the country to "try something new" by voting against the Democratic Party, saying "What do you have to lose?" Now, more than 1,000 Black women have signed a petition and open letter on with their reply. Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, the former Democratic Party chair of Maryland and widow of the late Congressman Elijah Cummings, joins CBSN to discuss the petition.
