Pittsburgh, Milwaukee Museums Make Wager On Super Bowl
PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) - Earlier this week, two U.S. senators made a friendly food wager on the Super Bowl, and now two art museums are getting in on the act.
The Carnegie Museum of Art is wagering the loan of the painting "Bathers with Crab," by Pierre-Auguste Renoir against "Boating on the Yerres" by Gustave Caillebotte from the Milwaukee Art Museum.
Carnegie Museum of Art director Lynn Zelevansky said she doesn't believe in trash talk and she thinks the excellence of the Steelers and the museum's collection speaks for itself.
The dates of the loan are still being finalized between the two museums.
