NFL: James Harrison Must Pay Fines

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There appears to be more bad news for James Harrison.

Our news partners at the Post-Gazette are reporting the NFL has rejected his appeal of two fines totaling $95,000.

Harrison's agent received an email from the league this afternoon.

Three weeks ago, the NFL fined Harrison $75,000 for a hit during the Cleveland game and he received another $20,000 fine for a hit on Drew Brees during the New Orleans game.

Harrison might face yet another fine after a roughing the passer penalty against him Sunday where officials said he led with his helmet.

"I think it was a hit just like last week where they called the flag and … I hit, wrapped, made sure I didn't land with my body weight on him and they seem to think differently," Harrison said after the game Sunday. "So, we'll see what happens as the week progresses."

Harrison also said the call wouldn't affect his game.

"It's not going to change the way I play," he said.

"I'm a little frustrated, disappointed because getting a flag hurts the team, but it's nothing dirty about my play – [there] was nothing wrong about the play.

"I just felt like it's getting to a point to where the refs feel like if they don't make the call, they may be in trouble, so if it is or isn't a bad play, if it's questionable."
