Along the Jersey Shore, there's a High Surf Advisory and High Rip Current Risk through the weekend.
Lifeguards in Ocean City are urging swimmers to be cautious with Hurricane Chris off the coast.
The rain and winds won't affect the Jersey Shore, but Chris will kick up the surf, causing potentially dangerous rip currents this week.
Jersey shore towns have reported a total of ten drownings this summer season, and rip currents are to blame for at least half of those.
As the peak of Hurricane season approaches, there are several tropical systems spinning in the Atlantic.
Officials in Wildwood were warning swimmers about a moderate risk of rip currents again Sunday after the near drowning of four people one day earlier.
The rip current risk is easing along the New Jersey coast as Hurricane Cristobal moves deeper into the North Atlantic after a week that saw the death of a swimmer.
Another sultry day is in store for the Delaware Valley on Wednesday. Under mostly sunny skies, temperatures are once again expected to reach 90.

Beach patrol in Atlantic City reported 48 rescues Tuesday, but they do note that today wave size is decreasing.
Swimmers were being urged Saturday to remain along beaches protected by life guards and to follow their instructions.
This is the last weekend for beaches to be guarded in Wildwood, and lifeguards have their work cut out for them.
