The nearly 130-year-old bridge over the Pennypack Creek was shut down last October because of structural concerns, and isn't scheduled for an overhaul until late next year.
County officials say the timetable calls for reconstruction work to begin sometime in 2014 with completion set for the following year. But, County Commissioner Leslie Richards says they're exploring the possibility of a temporary fix that would reopen the span until construction begins.
