Philadelphia starts off work week with cloudy skies, chance for rain Monday night
It's been a cloudy Monday so far, but the weather is seasonable, with highs in the upper 60s, right around where we should be this time of year. We may see a few breaks of blue sky here and there Monday afternoon before a weakening cold front moves in Monday night.
A few showers and maybe an errant rumble between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m., and then it all clears out, leading to a stretch of blue sky and above-average temperatures.
Expect above-seasonal temperatures for most of the week, particularly on Tuesday, with highs in the mid-80s. The sunny and mild stretch continues into Friday, with mid-to-upper 70s highs. A stray shower is possible Friday night, but our next best chance for rain comes on Saturday, when a cold front moves through the area, bringing the chance of showers and storms.
Our NEXT Weather team will keep you posted on the exact timing as we get closer to the weekend.
