What to know about Philadelphia Eagles' 2025 schedule

The Birds will play several prime-time games in the 2025 season after winning their second Lombardi Trophy. They don't have any back-to-back home games, and the team will play games on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday, along with Sunday, in the 2025 season.

The Eagles kick off the NFL season against the Cowboys, their hated NFC East rivals, in Week 1, as a Super Bowl banner will be raised in Lincoln Financial Field.

The last time the Eagles and Cowboys met in Week 1 of the regular season was when Andy Reid coached for Philadelphia in the 2000 season. The Birds steamrolled the Cowboys in that contest, 41-14, in the win that became known as the "Pickle Juice Game." Philadelphia used pickle juice to keep the team hydrated and prevent muscle cramps due to the high temperatures in Dallas.

As long as both players are healthy, the Week 1 game will only be the fourth time Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott face each other in the NFC East rivalry. Hurts and Prescott have missed seven of the 10 possible meetings due to injury or rest.

Birds fans — and likely the Eagles themselves — will have Week 11 circled on the calendar. That's when the team will travel to Lambeau Field to face the Packers on Monday Night Football.

The Packers have been at the forefront of trying to ban the tush push — the Eagles' signature play that they run better than any team in the league with Hurts. NFL owners will meet again to vote on potentially banning the play after it was delayed in April, so it could be outlawed before Philadelphia's prime time game against Green Bay.

The Eagles will face the Chiefs in a Super Bowl LIX rematch in Week 2 of the regular season on the road at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The Birds beat the Chiefs the last time the two teams played at Arrowhead in the 2023 season.

Other big time matchups on Philadelphia's schedule include an NFC championship game rematch against the Commanders in Week 16, the Lions coming to Philly in Week 11 and the Birds traveling to face MVP Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in Week 17.
