Woman's hand amputated after dynamite explosion in North Philadelphia, police say

A woman was injured in an explosion in North Philadelphia Thursday night, police said. 

A 66-year-old woman was taken to Temple University Hospital after a dynamite explosion just after 7 p.m. on the 2000 block of North Stillman Street, according to police. 

Police said one of the woman's hands was amputated and she is in stable condition. 

The Philadelphia bomb squad also responded to the scene.
