Just be thankful that for one day, at least, the Jets gave themselves a foundation upon which to build a season. Now we'll see if they've got the brick and mortar to turn it into an edifice worth looking at.

Given the events of this past week, where an unnamed Jets player called Tim Tebow "terrible" in a tabloid report, there is no good way for the situation to play out under center in this Sunday's game in St. Louis.
"We're not buying all this spin that is coming out right now," the player said. "And we're not necessarily buying that the quote came out recently or even from this locker room."
Mark Sanchez is still the Jets' franchise quarterback despite being mired in one of the worst slumps of his career. Tim Tebow, however, is still the team's most talked-about quarterback.
In light of the Jets' struggles this season, you can bet Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and tackle Wayne Hunter haven't stopped laughing.
"The record says what's going on," Johnson said during practice. "We're a 3-6 team. Are we happy? Are they happy? Are the players happy? I know the fans aren't happy. The answer is no. We're not happy. We're not happy with 3-6."
The Jets knew what they were getting themselves into, and now they have no one to blame but themselves for a season splintering apart. They should have known better.
