The Jets face a three-way quarterback controversy that can't end with any real winners. In fact, all three of the quarterbacks could well emerge as losers.
These three are notable players already, and RGIII is on the cusp of greatness. By this time next year, they may be challenging Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Tom Brady for the top three spots among quarterbacks in the NFL.
The former Jets wideout tweeted his thoughts Monday night on New York's quarterback controversy, pulling no punches. At all.
"It's shocking to see him on TV, to see his face on pictures, on newspapers," DeVito told WFAN co-hosts Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts. "It's totally shocking and it's disappointing, and I've been praying like crazy for both families."
Tim Tebow reached out Monday night to high school student-athlete Matt Hardy after a Twitter movement to raise the crash survivor's spirits took on a life of its own on Twitter.

Tweet Throwdown: Which QB was angrier when he woke up Monday morning – Mark Sanchez or Tim Tebow?
Derek Jeter packing on the pounds? Not so fat -- er, fast.
Should Sanchez get one more shot, has McElroy earned the start, or will Tebow time finally come in his Jacksonville homecoming?
"When Tim was here we saw the issues up close," an unnamed Broncos player told CBSSports.com. "The Jets didn't, and now they are seeing the problems, too. I feel really, really bad for Tim. He's a good person, just not an NFL quarterback."
This might not be the fairest analogy and this doesn't imply that Tim Tebow is in any way weak minded or has a damaged heart, but in the Jets' world of the surreal, right now he's Fredo Corleone.
Whatever intangible that makes an athlete great -- call it swagger, confidence, mojo, or moxie -- Mark Sanchez has it no more.
Costas used his halftime segment on "Sunday Night Football" to advocate for gun control following this weekend's murder-suicide involving Chiefs LB Jovan Belcher, causing an immediate debate on social media.
The best thing for the Jets right now is Greg McElroy. Everyone in Florham Park knows it. Let's see if they make the right decision.
