Woman Killed After Being Hit By 75-Year-Old Trying To Parallel Park In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 64-year-old woman died after a car crashed through the front window of a McDonald's in Brooklyn.

Emergency officials said the accident happened just before 1 p.m. near the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and 48th Street.

Officials said the driver, a 75-year-old woman, was trying to parallel park and hit the gas instead of the brake.

The car smashed through the window hitting the victim -- identified as Phyllis Pitt -- outside the restaurant. Two other people were treated for minor injuries.

The driver is not being charged and was not hurt.
