NYPD: Woman Hit With Wooden Stick During Subway Platform Attack

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is searching for a man who allegedly attacked woman with a stick at a Brooklyn subway station earlier this week.

According to police, the suspect allegedly struck a 37-year-old woman in the back of the head with a wooden stick while standing on the Manhattan-bound L train platform at Livonia Avenue at around 2:45 p.m. August 4.

The woman was taken to Interfaith Medical Center and treated for a bruise to the back of her head, police said.

The suspect fled on foot.

The NYPD says the suspect was last seen wearing dark clothing and was carrying a white plastic bag at the time of the incident. Surveillance footage of the suspect can be viewed above.
