NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Monday morning's commute might be messy for some due to icy road conditions.

A winter storm warning is in effect for upstate New York until 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, a high wind warning has been issued for the Jersey coast, and wind advisories will be in place across the Tri-State area from 2 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Gusts in excess of 50 mph are possible, especially in the early hours. Winds will gradually lessen as we head into this evening.

Some downed branches and power outages are possible, especially in areas where ice has accumulated.

Highs will top out in the upper 30s, but it will feel more like the 20s the entire day.

On Thursday, a major winter storm dumped up to a foot of snow or more in some New York City neighborhoods.
