What To Eat At Brooklyn's Smorgasburg

Brooklyn's popular Smorgasburg heads outside again this weekend on April 5. Each weekend, 75-100 food vendors open up shop from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with every dish you can imagine, street food style. We've outlined some of the best bites here. So head to Williamsburg's East River State Park on Saturdays or Dumbo's Brooklyn Bridge Park on Sundays for a taste – or six – of Brooklyn. Brisket Sandwich At Mighty Quinn's Barbecue

Before Mighty Quinn's opened up shop in the East Village, it was a mainstay vendor at Smorgasburg with legendary long lines. Grab a snack or drink and settle in – while the lines are long, the brisket is worth the time commitment. Mighty Quinn's moist brisket might be the best in New York. The fatty, rich slow-cooked brisket is piled onto a bun and topped with pickled onions and BBQ sauce.

Fried Anchovies At Bon Chovie

Bon Chovie's Smorgasburg stall serves up fresh seafood with a star dish: fried anchovies. The fresh anchovies are breaded and fried to order, and served with a smoked paprika aioli for dipping. The whole fish is entirely edible – the bones melt into a slight crunchiness in the frying process – and any fishiness is tampered by the dip in the fryer and smooth, spicy sauce. Spring for the "Jersey Style" with head and tails on if you're feeling adventurous.

Brown rice surrounds your choice of filling, like high-quality tuna with mayonnaise and soy sauce, and wrapped with Nori seaweed.

Dulce de Leche Donut From Dough

Choosing a donut at Dough's Smorgasburg stand can be tough. From Café au Lait to Blood Orange to Passion Fruit With Cocoa Nibs, each flavor is a winner. But the Dulce de Leche is almost transcendent. The donut is impossibly light, with a caramel and vanilla crumb topped with toasted almonds for crunch.
