1/11 CBS2 Monday Evening Weather Headlines
By Giorgio Panetta
A 25-degree temperature drop was in store this morning and felt like winter was back with a vengeance. The wind remained with us all day, and we were in the 30s all afternoon.
Wind chills were as low as the teens around the city this afternoon, but around 6 p.m., Monticello came in with a reading of 9 degrees.
Up next, a low pressure system swings across the northeast delivering our first glancing blow of light snowfall. We can expect some rain to mix in with this frontal passage as the warm front will lift mild air into the region. No real accumulation is expected, but in elevation, we can see an inch or so.
