NYPD outlines security measures for United Nations General Assembly
NEW YORK -- The United Nations General Assembly is back in New York City next week.
That means security measures and street closures will be in place.

NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban and other law enforcement officials provided a briefing Thursday about their preparations. The new commissioner was asked whether he's nervous about being in charge of such a big event.
"I've been with the department for 32 years, no pressure at all. As I always like to say, we never do anything alone. We're here with our federal, state and city partners. I want to thank them. Collectively, New York City will be safe," he said.
The main General Assembly begins Monday, and President Joe Biden is expected to address the assembly Tuesday.
