NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- Time Out New York Kids has some great ideas for your family this weekend.
Event: Timbalooloo with Oran Etkin
Location: The Jewish Museum, 1109 5th Avenue (at 92nd Street)
Tickets: $16, Children under 13 $11
Decription: Clarinetist Oran Etkin plays from his children's album Wake Up Clarinet!, a collection of jazz-inflected tunes. Ditties like the title track and "Little Lamb Jam," a take on "Mary Had a Little Lamb," will get little ones bopping. Ages 2 to 7.

Event: Sky Boys
Location: Abrons Arts Center, 466 Grand Street (at Pitt Street)
Description: Based on Deborah Hopkinson's 2006 children's book of the same name, this brand-new musical is set during the Great Depression of the 1930s. A 15-year-old New Yorker named Mickey finds hope in watching the Empire State Building being built high above the city's streets, and befriends the American Indian workers who fearlessly "walk the steel." Ages 8 and up.
When: Saturday and Sunday noon, 3pm.
Event: Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus presents "Fully Charged"
Location: Izod Center, Meadowlands Sports Complex
Tickets: $15 - $153
Description: Though the famous circus won't be charging into Manhattan as usual this year, families can still see its astonishing acts at nearby suburban venues. Attractions include the Human Fuse, a man who-what else?-jets through the air at 65 miles per hour; two strongmen who are able to lift half-ton telephone poles while acrobats balance precariously on top; and Tabayara the animal trainer, who commands Asian elephants, tigers and stallions. Arrive an hour early for a free pre-show party in which performers invite families onto the arena floor and teach circus skills to the audience. All ages.
