Think NJ Roads Are In Bad Shape? You're Right!
PARAMUS, NJ (WCBS 880) - Potholes, tall grass, and garbage on the roads.

Those are the top complaints for motorists, according to The Record, which got a hold of hundreds of letters fired off to the New Jersey state Department of Transportation.
If you stop any driver, you are bound to hear about the potholes.
"It was like four people wrapped behind one another. Everybody flat. Everybody got a flat," one driver told WCBS 880 reporter Sean Adams.
Adams asked, "Maybe the state would have paid for your tire, who knows?"
The driver replied, "You're right!"
Of course, that would only happen if someone else reports the pothole first.
The Record reports state DOT has its hands full. Money is tight.
In the 1980s, a road crew consisted of 15 to 18 members. Today, it's just six. They are responsible for 50 to 70 miles and they do it all - potholes, drainage, dead animals, trash, and they cut the grass.
