Teen Charged In Chalkboard Threat To Assassinate Principal
WANTAGH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A teen from Nassau County has been charged with a felony, after he allegedly wrote on the blackboard that he wanted to "assassinate the principal and take over the school."
Joshua Barley, 18, of the 600 block of Ardsley Avenue in Garden City, was arrested at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday and charged with making a terroristic threat.
While in his classroom as the Rosemary Kennedy Boces School in Wantagh, Barley wrote on the blackboard that he wanted to "assassinate the principal and take over the school," Nassau County police said.
A witness notified the principal and called police.
Barley was set to be arraigned Thursday at Nassau County First District Court in Hempstead.
