12/27 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines
By Mark McIntyre

Clouds stuck around through the day and we were a bit cooler than expected, but temperatures were still way above normal. We'll have some showers tonight with areas of fog, and it will be much colder with temperatures dropping to the 20s and 30s. Winds out of the N/NE will make it feel worse -- wind chills waking up will range from 15-30 degrees.
Expect sun and clouds tomorrow with temperatures barely moving at all. We'll only find 42 for a high in NYC -- much colder than we've had in recent weeks, but actually slightly above normal. It will feel more like the mid-30s due to a brisk breeze. Looks like the daylight hours stay dry, but with more clouds moving in.
Our attention then turns to Monday night into Tuesday morning. Our first winter storm of the season will bring an icy mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain north and west of NYC before a changeover to rain. Some spots in the northernmost suburbs could get a couple of inches of snow/sleet mix before the rain kicks in late Tuesday morning. We'll be in the low 50s Tuesday through Thursday and we'll keep the rain chance around as well.
Stay tuned for the latest on the storm!
