Long Island Man Accused Of Hitting Pit Bull With Piece Of Lumber

EAST PATCHOGUE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – A Long Island man is accused of hitting a pit bull with a piece of lumber, shattering its hind leg.

The Suffolk County SPCA says Justin Notartomaso, 23, of East Patchogue, has been charged with felony animal cruelty.

He allegedly hit his step-brother's 2-year-old, female pit bull named Treasure with a 2x4.

If convicted, Notartomaso faces up to two years in jail.
