St. Sen. Edith Prague Returns To Hartford For 30th Legis. Session
HARTFORD, CT (CBSNewYork) - Among lawmakers gathering in Hartford today is State Senator Edith Prague. She's returning for her 30th legislative session.

She is the oldest serving lawmaker in the state.
"I turned 86 this year. Man alive! I was shocked myself!" she told WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau.
It's hard to believe that Sen. Prague is recovering from a minor stroke, suffered on Christmas day.
She's been attending committee at the Capitol, fine-tuning bills, and gearing up for another season of campaigning.
"I have no plans to retire. I'm going to run for my seat," she said,
The senator says there's no sense in throwing away decades of priceless experience.
Gov. Dan Malloy wants this legislative session to focus on improving education for Connecticut's kids and Prague is all for that.
"They're our future, and if they don't get a good education, we're gonna be in big trouble," said Prague.
