Santana Unsure About Next Start

(AP) New York Mets ace Johan Santana expects to know if he'll make his next start after a bullpen session Sunday.

He threw short and long toss in the outfield for about eight minutes before Saturday's game against the Chicago Cubs and felt fine.

He says "everything is good" and "we'll see how it feels tomorrow." He says the bullpen session will likely determine whether he makes his scheduled start against Washington on Tuesday.

Santana left Thursday's win over Atlanta after five innings with a strained left pectoral muscle. He is 11-9 with a 2.98 ERA.

Shortstop Jose Reyes remains day to day because of a strained right oblique. He hasn't played since Aug. 26.
