New Jersey Beach Outlaws Alcoholic Beverages

SANDY HOOK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – New Jersey beachgoers have to leave the booze at home.

Sandy Hook was the last public beach in the state that still allowed alcoholic beverages, but not anymore.

Alcohol is now banned on the beach.

The ban will not apply to weddings at the Sandy Hook Chapel or those with permits for private events.

Smoking is restricted to parking lots only.
