Rolle On WFAN: Giants Can 'Absolutely' Win Out, Finish 9-7

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- The Giants are in deep trouble.

After losing two games to start the season, New York rattled off three straight wins. Since then the Giants have lost five straight to fall to 3-7 and are in danger of missing the playoffs for the third consecutive season.

The latest debacle? An ugly 16-10 loss to the 49ers that featured five interceptions from quarterback Eli Manning. It was a game that the Giants had to win -- and should have won -- but ultimately let slip away.

Even if New York were to win its final six games -- a very unlikely scenario -- it still might find itself outside the playoff picture.

But to have any chance of salvaging this season, Big Blue will have to win out.

And Antrel Rolle, in typical Antrel Rolle fashion, believes that his squad can win all of its remaining games.

"Absolutely, I think it's a possibility," the defensive captain told Joe & Evan in his weekly spot on Tuesday. "There's no doubt in my mind. But in order for it to be a possibility we've gotta go out there and we've gotta play as a team. All three phases need to be on the same page at the same time.

"You can't have the offense playing good and the defense playing bad, and vice versa. You can't have that ... This team is more than capable. But right now we're just not doing the things that are asked of us to really do. It's a collective effort."

After taking on the Cowboys on Sunday night, the Giants' schedule will let up and get considerably less challenging.

New York will finish the regular season at Jacksonville, at Tennessee, vs. Washington, at St. Louis and vs. Philadelphia.
